S. Korea's FM briefs EU on fast-developing situation on Korean Peninsula

South Korea's foreign minister Kang Kyung-wha has been discussing North Korea with top diplomats from the European Union.
Speaking at the EU Foreign Affairs Council on Monday, Kang explained the fast-changing situation on the Korean Peninsula now that Pyongyang has shown a strong inclination to talk.
She asked for the EU's continued support and cooperation in establishing peace within the region.
On the sidelines of the meeting,... Kang was briefed by her Swedish counterpart on her talks with North Korea's top diplomat Ri Yong-ho.
They called the upcoming summits with North Korea a "turning point" in resolving the nuclear issue and bringing lasting peace to the region.
