Trump Insists 'No Collusion' In Wake Of McCabe's Firing

President Trump on Saturday insisted there was "no collusion" for the 2016 election.

A day after the firing of former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, President Trump insisted there was "no collusion" for the 2016 election and slammed various law enforcement organizations.
"As the House Intelligence Committee has concluded, there was no collusion between Russia and the Trump Campaign," Trump tweeted. "As many are now finding out, however, there was tremendous leaking, lying and corruption at the highest levels of the FBI, Justice & State. #DrainTheSwamp."
Hours prior, Trump's lawyer called for an end to the Russian investigation headed by special counsel Robert Mueller.
"I pray that Acting Attorney General Rosenstein will follow the brilliant and courageous example of the FBI Office of Professional Responsibility and Attorney General Jeff Sessions and bring an end to alleged Russia Collusion investigation manufactured by McCabe's boss James Comey based upon a fraudulent and corrupt Dossier," Dowd said in an email to the Daily Beast.
According to the outlet, Dowd initially admitted to speaking on behalf of the president, but he later retracted that statement.
Axios has suggested that Dowd's comment indicates that "Trump's team is going to war with Mueller."
