Expert's take on Trump agreeing to meet Kim Jong-un by May

Let's get an expert's take on the extraordinary events of the past few hours.
I'm joined in the studio by Woo Jung-yeop, Research Fellow at the Sejong Institute.
Thanks for joining us.

Are you surprised North Korea offered a summit so quickly and that President Trump accepted right away? And as a sub-question to that -- considering Trump wants to meet by May,... do you think all the pre-summit groundwork can be done in that timeframe?

How do you explain this sudden and unexpected turnaround by Kim Jong-un,... a leader Trump has ridiculed as "little Rocketman" and against whom he has threatened "fire and fury"?

Do you think North Korea has an ulterior motive for offering this summit out of the blue? Surely Kim Jong-un has no intention of actually giving up his nuclear bombs and ballistic missiles...

How much credit do you give President Trump for forcing North Korea back to the dialogue table? His supporters will say his policy of maximum pressure has worked where the Obama policy of strategic patience failed.

And what of South Korea now. President Moon and Kim Jong-un are going to meet for their own historic summit at the end of April. Do these latest developments change the dynamic of the Moon-Kim summit?

We appreciate for your insights and it would be great to have you back in studio when the summits (hopefully) happen in April and May. Thank you.
