Google has officially joined the 100 billion dollar club for the first time in the company's 20-year history.
Alphabet, the parent company of Google, announced on Thursday that the firm's total annual revenue for 2017 broke through the threshold, peaking at 110 billion U.S. dollars,... up from 90 billion the previous year.
However, Google reported a fourth quarter loss as it had to pay a nine-point-nine billion dollar charge... due to a one-time tax on foreign earnings.
Apple and Amazon first broke the 100 billion dollar mark in 2011 and 2015 respectively.
