Florida Brush Fire Grows to 625 Acres

Firefighters battled a wildfire in St. John’s National Wildlife Refuge in eastern Florida on Monday, March 27.The Bridge Fire, which was first reported on Sunday, had grown to 625 acres on Monday afternoon and was 75 percent contained, according to the incident report. An area highway was closed briefly Monday morning because of smoke mixing with fog, creating low visibility.
