A wildfire burning in Merlin, Oregon, grew to almost 25,000 acres by Tuesday, July 31, as it inched towards an iconic stretch of the Rogue River, according to KGW8.More than 1,000 people were evacuated in the Merlin and Grants Pass area by July 31, though no homes or structured were destroyed.The fire, referred to as the Taylor Creek Fire, was one of the fires within the Garner Complex.
