Creepy clown spotted wandering around at night in Wisconsin terrifies local residents

GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN — A mysterious clown that has been wandering around at night with four black balloons is the talk of the town in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The clown, known as Gags, which stands for the Green Bay Clown, first appeared on Monday at 2 a.m., according to a Facebook fan page.

Photos of Gags show the clown with full face makeup, high eyebrows, large dark eyes and an evil smile. The clown’s outfit appears to be a disheveled jumpsuit with a ruffled collar.

Soon after the first photo of Gags was supposedly taken, a Facebook fan page called “Gags - The Green Bay Clown” appeared. The page now has seven photos of Gags beneath an overpass.

Disturbed residents have been calling the police about the clown. But police say they can’t do anything about it.

“A person can walk down the sidewalk dressed however they want as long as they’re in a place they legally can be, and they’re not in a place that has a closing time, like a park,” Police Captain Kevin Warych told WGBA-TV.

Some people believe Gags could be either involved in filming for a horror movie or a viral marketing stunt. Chicagoist notes that Gags’ fan page appeared half an hour after his first photo was supposedly taken.
