CHICAGO — Home surveillance camera caught the moment an intruder watched a couple sleep.
A surveillance camera eerily panned out to reveal an intruder spying on a couple as they slept on the couch in their Chicago home. Wearing a hooded sweatshirt, the intruder crept into the home through an unlocked door and stood at the top of the stairs looking down on the couple.
Jack Mackercher and his girlfriend, Jordan Buranskas, never noticed the intruder, who spent about 10 minutes total watching them. Buranskas did, however, noticed that her purse was missing. Mackercher reviewed surveillance footage and saw the intruder on video.
At first Mackercher was confused as to why his girlfriend was wearing a hoodie at the top of the stairs. But, when she said it wasn’t her, the couple became frightened.
The intruder had lurked above the couple watching them for five minutes before walking away and returning for another five minutes.
The intruder has been nicknamed, “Creeper Ghost” and is believed to be responsible for a series of burglaries in the area.
