OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA — Videos of police chasing a go-kart down on a busy freeway in Oakland, California, have gone viral.
The videos were posted on Twitter by user @Tonka_Boy_Dre showing a go-kart racer driving down Interstate 880 as an unmarked police vehicle followed closely behind.
The user told local news affiliates and ABC7 that the incident wasn’t unusual. He said that people meet up every so often to ride dirt bikes and go-karts around the area.
He also tweeted, “this particular person on the go kart was the slowest and the last in the pack and that’s why he was being chased by police.”
