If there is a decreased keenness in the perception of colors, it is evident that for years we failed to fully use our powers of color perception.
Proper use never wears out any tissue of the human body.

Before we take up the training for restoration of the perception of color we need to awaken a new attitude towards color.

So no matter how much or how little you have loved colors in the past, love every and all colors MORE. Make a hobby of colors. Seek and enjoy new colors that is tints and shades that you newly perceive in colors.

And now please, give most earnest attention to the basic method of attaining any new development.

Discrimination is the basic method, no other function grows new structure.
Discrimination means recognizing the differences that make things differ one from another.
We need to increase our vocabulary and get out of our specialized habits, take art classes, pay attention to nature, enjoy different paintings.

Noticing the likeliness requires no new recognition of mind and no new activity of the nerves.

If we train to see the differences of a dozen blues we will produce amazing changes in the brain, optic nerves, retina and increased perception and activities.

For example this blue is much more whiter than that blue, the eight blue has a little tint of yellow in it, the ninth blue has a little tint of green in it and so on.

Realize that you are not seeing hundreds of colors.
Make it your business to discover them!
