One dead, two injured after a shooting near Manhattan’s Penn station

NEW YORK CITY — One person died and two more were injured early Monday morning in a shooting near Penn Station in New York’s midtown Manhattan.

According to PIX11, at around 6 a.m. a group of men were drinking coffee inside a McDonald’s near Penn station when another man came in and spoke to them.

They then all left the restaurant and went into the subway station where a total of four rounds were shot.

A man was hit in the head and pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim was shot in the neck and stomach, and a third one was shot in the leg, PIX11 reported.

They were all taken to the hospital, where according to police their injuries were not considered life-threatening.

According to ABC News, police are looking for a silver vehicle with up to three suspects inside after it fled north on Eighth Avenue.

No one has been arrested yet. An investigation is ongoing to determine the motive of the shooting.
