Mother’s Day shooting: Teen boy lays dead in the middle of Newark street - TomoNews

A Sunday afternoon motorcycling event in Newark, New Jersey turned tragic this past Sunday after shots rang out, leaving a 16-year-old boy dead in the street.
Around 7:45 p.m., a pair of men on 4-wheeler bike came riding through the festival and opened fire at random, hitting four people including the teen boy. He was shot three times in the head.
The other three escaped with only minor wounds. However, the teen never had a chance. Police and EMTs tried unsuccessfully to revive him as he lay bleeding on South 19th Street. Despite the fact that numerous people were at the scene, details of the shooters and their whereabouts were still unknown as of this report.
