George Zimmerman involved in shooting following road rage incident in Florida suburb - TomoNews

A shooting in a Lake Mary neighborhood involving George Zimmerman, the former neighborhood watch volunteer, stemmed from a road rage incident last year, authorities said Monday.

Zimmerman wasn't seriously hurt when Matthew Apperson shot into Zimmerman's truck at a busy intersection on Lake Mary Boulevard.

Apperson and Zimmerman were involved in another road rage incident in September which ended in a screaming match, according to local media reports.

Zimmerman was sprayed with glass from his vehicle's windshield and other debris, his attorney, Don West told WFTV.
