코로나19 어제 1천30명 신규확진, 첫 1천명대…역대 최다

South Korea today reported more cases of COVID-19 than at any point yet in the pandemic.
More than a thousand for the first time.
The authorities are said to be considering yet more distancing rules, and we should find out what they've decided this afternoon.

South Korea reported one-thousand-thirty new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, surpassing the one-thousand mark for the first time.
There was a sudden rise in cases even though 14-thousand fewer tests were conducted on Saturday.
Among those tested, more than 4 percent tested positive... compared to 2-point-5 percent the day before.
Of Sunday's cases, 1-thousand-2 were local and 28 were from overseas.
A majority of 786 were in the greater capital region,... which includes Seoul, Gyeonggi-do Province and Incheon.
All of these areas have been breaking records day after day.
In the capital, there have been large cluster infections at churches and nursing homes... and nationwide at restaurants, private academies, singing rooms, small gatherings and military facilities.
To find cases among people who have no symptoms, the government is opening up 150 temporary health clinics across the capital region on Monday... where anyone can go and get a free test.
Temporary clinics will be installed at subway stations with high traffic including Seoul and Yongsan stations, and around major universities.
These new testing centers run from 9 AM to 6 PM
The government is deploying around 800 people to do tracking and tracing... assigned from among civil servants, soldiers and the police.
