Behold the mountain of the Lord - Chris Lawton at St Mungo's Catholic Church, Glasgow

Me playing the organ at St Mungo's Roman Catholic Church in the Townhead part of Glasgow near Queen Street railway station.

The organ was built in 1951 by the John Compton Organ Company Ltd. The organ uses 8 ranks of pipes which are fully enclosed in 2 chambers situated on each side of the rear gallery and played from a detached stopkey console. The Compton patent 32ft Polyphonic Bass is also included in this fine installation which is enhanced by brilliant acoustics. The specification reads:

For this first video im playing the hymn 'Behold the mountain of the Lord' to the obvious choice of tune 'Glasgow'. This makes use of the main sounds on this fine instrument.
