Wales headlines 3 October: Council workers to strike until late November

Council workers in Cardiff and Wrexham have both extended ongoing industrial action until towards the end of November. The strikes which particularly affect recycling and rubbish collections in the cities, were due to end on October 13th, but the union members rejected pay offers from both council authorities.

St David’s Hall will remain closed for an extended period of time over concerns of the notorious concrete RAAC. It was originally announced the venue would close for 4 weeks for checks, but structural engineers are yet to cement their findings. A council spokesperson said it would open as soon as possible.

A puppy born with two additional legs has been found dumped in a car park in Pembrokeshire. The 6 legged spaniel was found outside B and M Bargains in Pembroke dock and a has since had over 2 thousand pounds raised to have the extra limbs surgically removed.
