A 29 year old man has died after suffering serious injuries following a hit-and-run collision in Smethwick. He was struck just before 1am on Monday and died later that day at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Police are appealing for information.
Birmingham City Council has prosecuted the director of a takeaway restaurant after inspectors uncovered food hygiene and safety issues. Sadek Seikh pleaded guilty to six offences and was fined £12,500. He has been banned from participating in the management of any food business
Brindleyplace is set to welcome a huge new sports bar. BOX is set to open on June 3 in the old Pizza Express location. The venue can hold 575 guests. There'll be an open kitchen, an island bar, 23 TV screens, an upstairs bar, private dining and an outdoor area for 30 seats.
