Excessive workload: how to explain to your superior that you are overworked?
Are you exhausted by the workload?
To avoid burn-out, a discussion with your supervisor is necessary.
It is not a matter of complaining but of exchanging in order to reach solutions.
To do this, prepare this discussion in advance.
Make a list of all the tasks you need to accomplish and the time it will take to complete them.
Share your concern about the quality of your work if the amount of work does not decrease: it will show that you are dedicated and invested.
Offer solutions: discuss deadlines again or ask for help.
For example, some tasks may be be entrusted to a third party or the recruitment of an additional person could be considered.
If your supervisor does not share your point of view, stay calm and listen to his or her arguments in order to better respond to your feelings.
