I'm A Mother With Extreme Tattoos - So What? | HOOKED ON THE LOOK
  • 2 years ago
EXTREME tattoos have helped a 26-year-old mum to overcome her insecurities and gain a sense of self-love. Ravena, from Goiânia, Brazil, got her first tattoo when she was 18 years old but a year ago she decided to change her look and go for something more extreme than a regular haircut. She started tattooing her face, her body and even became a tattoo artist herself. Ravena credits tattoos for saving her life - they gave her newfound confidence and helped her express her true self. Ravena told Truly: “My self-confidence went from 0 to 100, after I got tattooed. I used to be a very depressed sort of person. I was sad, fearful. Today, I am much more myself than I used to be. I think I know myself better.” Ravena’s five-year-old daughter loves her tattoos, and as for her family, they were shocked about her changes at first but now support her decision to alter her look. The tattoo artist set up an Instagram page to share her tattoo journey with her followers and to inspire others not to be afraid to express themselves. Ravena said she is determined to carry on inking her body: “I am not sure how far I am going to go with it or what I am going to be modifying going forward but there is gonna be plenty!”
