World Health Organization (WHO) chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has said that the new variant 'Delta' of Kovid-19 is spreading rapidly around the world. He cautioned that the delta variant, which has reached 104 countries, is expected to soon become the most dominant variant of coronavirus in the world. Tedros said in a press conference on Monday that last week was the fourth week when the number of cases of Kovid-19 continued to increase worldwide. The WHO chief said, except one of the six WHO areas, cases have increased in all others. He said that after the decrease in cases for 10 weeks, the concern has increased due to such increase in cases. Tredros said, Kovid-19 is constantly changing and becoming more contagious. My message today is that we are facing a worsening public health emergency that could threaten lives, livelihoods and global economic recovery in the long run. He said, it is even worse for places where vaccines are less and the havoc of infection still continues. He emphasized that the world has to come together to deal with the global pandemic.

WHO प्रमुख ने कहा, WHO के छह क्षेत्रों में से एक को छोड़कर अन्य सभी में मामले बढ़े हैं. उन्होंने कहा कि 10 सप्ताह तक मामलों में कमी आने के बाद इस तरह मामले बढ़ने से चिंता बढ़ गई है. ट्रेड्रोस ने कहा, कोविड-19 लगातार बदल रहा है और अधिक संक्रामक होता जा रहा है. आज मेरा संदेश यह है कि हम एक बिगड़ती सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य आपात स्थिति का सामना कर रहे हैं जो आगे चलकर जीवन, आजीविका और वैश्विक आर्थिक सुधार के लिए खतरा बन सकती हैं. उन्होंने कहा, यह उन स्थानों के लिए और भी बदतर है, जहां वैक्सीन कम हैं और संक्रमण का कहर अब भी जारी है. उन्होंने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि वैश्विक महामारी से निपटने के लिए दुनिया को एकसाथ आना होगा.
