Sanjay Manjrekar has backed Wriddhiman Saha to be Team India's first-choice wicket-keeper in the first Test that will be played at the Adelaide Oval on December 17. Youngster Rishabh Pant has also been named in the Indian Test squad and as of now, it remains to be seen who will be donning the gloves in the opening contest. Manjrekar has backed Saha owing to his brilliant athleticism behind the stumps as he has made difficult catches look easy with some brilliant piece of glovework.

इंडिया के पूर्व क्रिकेटर संजय मांजरेकर ने बड़ा बयान दिया है. संजय मांजरेकर ने बताया है कि उनके अनुसार पहले टेस्ट मैच में भारत का विकेटकीपर कौन होना चाहिए? मांजरेकर के मुताबिक़ पहले टेस्ट मैच में रिषभ पन्त की जगह रिधिमान साहा को ही मौका मिलना चाहिए. क्योंकि विकेटकीपिंग स्किल्स में रिषभ पन्त से काफी बेहतर हैं रिधिमानसाहा. इसके पीछे की वजह भी उन्होंने बताई है. मांजरेकर का मानना है कि अगर रिषभ पन्त स्टीव स्मिथ का कैच छोड़ देते हैं. तो फिर वो टीम इंडिया के लिए सबसे बड़ा नुक्सान होगा. जबकि रिधिमान साहा पन्त की तुलना काफी बेहतर हैं.
