टीम इंडिया की प्लेयिंग इलेवन का एलान हो गया है. रिधिमान साहा को टेस्ट टीम से बाहर कर दिया गया है. दूसरे टेस्ट मैच में रिधिमान साहा नहीं खेलेंगे. उनकी जगह रिषभ पन्त ने ले ली है. अब ऋषभ पन्त बाकी के तीन टेस्ट मैचों में विकेटकीपिंग करते हुए नजर आएँगे. उम्मीद तो यही कर सकते हैं. चूँकि, साहा को पहले टेस्ट मैच में बल्ले से खराब प्रदर्शन के बिनाह पर प्लेयिंग इलेवन से बाहर का रास्ता दिखाया गया है. इसका मतलब ये भी समझा जा सकता है कि टीम मैनेजमेंट अब 35 साल के रिधिमान साहा से आगे जाना चाहती है. रिधिमान साहा की बल्लेबाजी उनकी कमजोरी रही है. जबकि विकेटकीपिंग वर्ल्ड क्लास लेवल की है.

India on Friday named their playing XI for the second Test against Australia starting December 26 with Test debuts handed to Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj. Gill comes in for Prithvi Shaw and is likely to open the batting while Siraj replaces the injured Mohammed Shami. Rishabh Pant replaces Wriddhiman Saha behind the stumps even as Ajinkya Rahane steps up to lead the team in the absence of Virat Kohli. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has also been included in the XI as India go in with five bowling options for the Boxing Day Test.
