Walt Disney is set to lay off 32-thousand workers by the end of March,... amid the prolonged impact of COVID-19 on its entertainment business.
The number is 4-thousand more than the American company initially announced in September.
Most of the layoffs will come from its theme parks,.. especially from Disneyland in California.
The theme park has been closed since March,... and it’s still unclear when it can reopen.
Parks in Florida and outside the U.S. like Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Tokyo reopened earlier this year under strict social distancing measures.
