S. Korea's Lantern Lighting Festival to be added to UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list

South Korea's Lantern Lighting Festival may be added to UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list.
The Cultural Heritage Administration said Tuesday that it has completed the necessary submission procedures.
The 2020 nominations will be discussed by the Committee during its 15th session next month, which runs from December 14th to 19th.
If added, South Korea will have a total of 21 items of cultural heritage listed by UNESCO, including traditional Korean wrestling, 'Ssirum', and the lyrical folk song 'Arirang'.
