"Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982" by Cho Nam-joo has made it on TIME's list of "the 100 most-read books of 2020".
The English version of the novel translated by Jamie Chang has been gaining popularity among those interested in feminism in South Korea.
The magazine explained the novel has become a bestseller "inspiring many young women to reconsider the roles they've been tacitly forced into."
The novel was also nominated for the National Book Award in the category of translated literature,… and has sold over a million copies in nineteen different countries.
