We are getting closer to finding out who Americans have chosen for their next president President Trump or his Democratic rival Joe Biden.
Polling stations in key states began closing since 9 AM Korea time.
To check on how the numbers stand now, we turn to our Lee Kyung-eun.
Kyung-eun, what's the latest?
Mark, this is the most exciting part of the day.
We are three hours into counting the votes.
And according to CNN, Trump is currently ahead of Biden in terms of popular vote,... with fifty-point-six percent to forty-eight percent.
Several states have been called as well.
As of 11:30 AM Korea time,... Trump has taken 8 states including Indiana, West Virginia, and Tennessee.
And Biden has taken 9 states, including New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Vermont.
In terms of electoral votes, Biden is ahead of Trump.
Biden has 89,...while Trump has 54.
They need 2-hundred-70 to win.
Those six swing states have not been called yet,... leaving hopes for both candidates.
But at the moment, in Florida where more than 90 percent of the votes has been counted Trump is ahead of Biden,...by more than 3 points.
Trump is also winning in the rust-belt state of Michigan, which has just started processing the results.
That could be partly because the state is counting in-person votes first,... of which Republicans take up a big portion.
Meanwhile, Biden is leading in Pennsylvania.
But the counting process is at 10 percent, so it is hard to determine which direction that key state will go.
That's all I have for now, back to you Mark.
