South Korea is resuming its discount coupon scheme... which was abruptly halted in August... to boost consumer spending.
The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters said on Sunday that the coupons will first be issued in fields such as museums, cinemas, and musicals that were hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Consumers will be able to get about five U.S. dollars off cinema tickets bought online starting next Friday.
And from Thursday, they can get a 40-percent discount at museums, and around 2-and-a-half dollars off art gallery tickets bought online.
