Many gas stations in South Korea have closed due in part to COVID-19 and the longest-ever monsoon season.
The number of gas stations in the country has been falling for the past 9 years, but according to the Korea National Oil Corporation, around 70 gas stations have closed in the past six months.
That is already close to the eighty gas stations that shut last year.
Gas stations sales from January to July fell almost 3 percent on-year.
The virus and the unusual weather have apparently meant more people stayed home,... which led to dwindling demand for gas.
