A report from the culture ministry says BTS' recent conquest of the Billboard Hot 100 chart is expected to create an economic effect worth around one-point-four-three billion U.S. dollars.
It also says it'll lead to the creation of around eight thousand jobs.
Subsequently, exports of consumer goods, including cosmetics and food, are forecast to increase by more than 312 million dollars.
Last week, BTS topped the Billboard's main singles chart with their first English-language single "Dynamite," becoming the first South Korean act ever to do so.
