Former Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon has been elected as the new leader of South Korea's ruling Democratic Party.
Lee will take the helm of the ruling Democratic Party of Korea for the next two years,... along with five newly elected top party representatives.
At the party's national convention on Saturday, Lee won a three-way race... by receiving a combined 60-point-77 percent of the total votes.
For the first time in history, the national convention was live streamed on YouTube due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The new chairman gave an online speech as he is currently under two weeks of self-quarantine.
