South Korea's National Assembly has extended its shutdown for two more days until Saturday, after a photo journalist who attended a ruling Democratic Party meeting tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday.
Since Wednesday evening, all proceedings at the parliament have been halted, with the main buildings closed for disinfection.
The DP chief Lee Hae-chan and floor leader Kim Tae-nyeon, who attended the same event, tested negative and are under self-quarantine.
The September regular session will kick off on Tuesday as scheduled.
The ruling party will also push ahead with its national convention on Saturday, although this will be held virtually.
