South Korea's Prime Minister says the government will have no option but to 'entirely' rely on the issuance of national bonds if a second round of emergency COVID-19 relief money is approved.
Speaking to lawmakers Monday, Chung Sye-kyun said the government's resources are "very limited."
The nation's top finance chief also said the government will review the need to provide a second round of emergency relief if the resurgence of the virus doesn't slow.
The government previously allocated relief funds totaling over 12-billion U.S. dollars to all households to help cushion the pandemic's economic blow.
As for the development of therapeutic drugs,... the PM expressed trust that local firms could develop something before the end of this year.
