In Major League Baseball, South Korean rookie pitcher Kim Kwang-hyun has picked up his first big league win, pitching six scoreless innings to give his St. Louis Cardinals a 3-nil win over the Cincinnati Reds.
Kim gave up just three hits, struck out three batters and gave up no walks.
He threw 83 pitches, 55 of which were strikes.
That performance lowered his ERA from 3-point-8-6 to 1-point-6-9.
Kim had been a reliever for the Cardinals but was given his first start just this past week.
Fellow Korean Ryu Hyun-jin, with the Toronto Blue Jays, gave up three hits and an earned run on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Rays.
He did get six strikeouts, though.
That one was a 2-to-1 loss for the Jays, going into extra innings.
