TikTok to sue Trump administration over U.S. transaction ban

The Chinese video-sharing app TikTok says it's going to sue the Trump administration as early as next week over the U.S. president's order banning transactions with the app and its parent company ByteDance.
A TikTok spokesperson told broadcaster CNBC on Saturday that in suing the administration, the company seeks to ensure that it is treated fairly and that the rule of law prevails.
The ban on transactions is separate from an order issued earlier this month giving ByteDance 90 days to divest of TikTok's U.S. operations.
That order has ByteDance now in talks with companies like Microsoft and Oracle to sell the app
