정부 “오늘부터 인천 포함 수도권 사회적 거리두기 강화” 달라지는 것들은?

Two days after raising the social distancing rules for Seoul and the surrounding Gyeonggi-do Province to level two on the three-tier system, South Korea expanded the measure to cover the western port city of Incheon and tightened virus prevention guidance for the entire greater Seoul area.
How the strengthened measures impact our daily lives... here's Kim Bo-kyoung.
Much tougher social distancing measures officially began on Wednesday in the capital region.
As the number of new COVID-19 cases soars, much stricter guidelines have now imposed not only in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do Province, but also in Incheon from Wednesday.
The measures will last until August 30th.
All gatherings of more than 50 people indoors and more than 100 outdoors are prohibited.
Schools have to limit the number of students and no spectators are allowed at sports games.
Adding on to that, all religious facilities in the capital region are prohibited from holding worship services in person, and public facilities such as museums, libraries and art galleries are also closed.
12 types of designated high-risk facilities such as buffet restaurants, PC rooms and large-sized academies have been closed.
However, movie theaters and public bath houses will stay open as they are considered medium-risk facilities.
Those who disobey the rules will be fined up to 25-hundred U.S. dollars each and if a new confirmed patient comes out, they will be asked to pay hospitalization, treatment and quarantine costs.
Lots of events can no longer go ahead, and those planning to get married have to change their wedding plans.
The Fair Trade Commission has asked wedding halls to let couples postpone their weddings without any penalty.
In light of the surge, there are some voices saying that social distancing measures should be raised to level three.
But the Prime Minister says the situation is not severe enough to raise the level.
"If we raise the social distancing level to three, gatherings of more than 10 people would be banned and medium-risk facilities would also have to close, severely impacting people's daily lives and the economy. It is more important to prevent the spread so that we do not have to raise the level."
The Prime Minister also asked citizens for their active cooperation and mature civic awareness to help tackle the outbreak.
