Samsung Galaxy Note 20 sets record for first day activations

The latest phablet device from Samsung Electronics, the Galaxy Note 20,... set an all-time record in South Korea on Friday as it was activated for customers who placed pre-orders for it.
The company says 258-thousand of the phones were activated on day one.
That beats the previous record, set by the Galaxy S8 three years ago, at around 250-thousand on the first day.
It's also about 10 percent more than the Note 20's immediate predecessor, the Note 10.
The activations are for people who placed pre-orders for the phone last week.
The official release date is August 21st.
