Senior Chinese diplomat Yang Jiechi is likely to visit Seoul next week.
According to government sources in South Korea Thursday, Seoul and Beijing are currently planning Yang's visit.
He is expected to meet high-ranking officials... including Suh Hoon, President Moon's National Security Advisor during which the two sides will likely discuss Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Seoul this year.
Korea, China observers say the visit comes as Beijing hopes to maintain close ties with Seoul amid strained relations with Washington.
