Gov't to ease house priority list rules for overseas workers, newly weds

Starting September, South Koreans who have had to live overseas away from their family due to work will be deemed as having resided in South Korea during that time... when applying for the government's housing priority list.
South Korea recently introduced a new regulation requiring those who wish to be on the priority list for housing properties in speculative areas to actually reside there for at least two years,... up from the previous one year.
This has sparked complaints from those who could not meet the requirement due to work arrangements abroad.
Also, newly weds with children will be included on the priority list regardless of whether they had those children before or after getting married.
