South Korea reported 59 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday.
39 were local transmissions while 20 were imported.
Concerns are rising due to various outbreaks in the greater Seoul area including at a real estate office in Gangnam, a nursing home, a church and even at a front-line military unit in Pocheon, near the inter-Korean border.
At the Gangnam-gu District real estate office, 13 have now been infected after the first case was confirmed last Saturday.
In a church in the Songpa-gu District of Seoul, a total of 16 have been confirmed with the virus while 17 cases were reported at the army base in Pocheon, but it is still unclear as to how they were infected.
The total number of confirmed cases in the country now stands at 13-thousand-nine-hundred-38.
The death toll remains unchanged at 297.
Meanwhile, fast spread of the coronavirus in Iraq has put South Korean workers on alert.
Seoul's foreign ministry said that three construction workers in Iraq have died from COVID-19.
Out of around six-hundred-80 Korean workers on-site, one-hundred-five have returned home.
Two military planes departed from Korea Thursday morning heading to Iraq to bring back two-hundred-97 more South Korean nationals...as well as the body of another worker who died from the virus.
The workers will be tested at the airport upon their arrival in South Korea on Friday.
Those found to be COVID-19-positive will be transferred to a treatment facility,... while those who test negative will be quarantined in temporary accommodation.
