South Korea has revealed ambitious plans to expand the number of electric vehicles on the roads for a greener economy.
Seoul's environment ministry said Wednesday that it will continue to subsidize purchases of electric vehicles with the aim of having ten times more electric vehicles in the country in the next five years.
Under that goal, there would be 1-point-1-3 million electric vehicles on the roads and 45-thousand charging stations.
It plans to invest nearly 17 billion U.S. dollars by 2025 and create more than 151-thousand jobs.
