BMW to recall 1.6 million vehicles worldwide over fire risk

On the same day that BMW Korea announced a recall of nearly 66-thousand vehicles in South Korea,.... BMW's headquarters in Germany said.... it is recalling one-point-six million vehicles worldwide.
According to the Associated Press, on Tuesday local time,.... the carmaker said it initiated the recall... because a coolant leak from a faulty engine part could catch fire if combined with soot at high temperatures.
BMW has already decided to recall nearly 500-thousand vehicles in Europe and Asia after fires were reported in South Korea.
This year in South Korea, more than 40 BMWs have burst into flames.
