Firefighters rescue 2,000 stranded people after burst dam floods village

Firefighters rescued 1,955 stranded people in southern China after severe rain and flash floods submerged a village after a nearby dam burst.

In the video, shot in the city of Shangrao in Jiangxi Province on July 9, the village was submerged in deep floods and firefighters took boats to rescue trapped residents.

Another clip shows firefighters piling up bags of sand to block the floodwater.

1,955 stranded people were rescued and more than 5,000 people were evacuated, reports said.
