중증 코로나19 환자, 국내 최초 폐이식 수술 성공

South Korea has become only the fourth country in the world to complete a successful lung transplant on a COVID-19 patient.
The operation was conducted on a woman late last month... at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital just outside of Seoul.
She was suffering from pulmonary fibrosis, a hardening of the lungs,... and had been put under intensive care for one-hundred-12 days after contracting the virus in late February.
The patient, in her 50s, is now reportedly breathing well on her own and undergoing rehabilitation.
The only other countries to perform the same surgery to a success... are China, the U.S., and Austria.
