U.S. President Donald Trump has extended existing sanctions on North Korea for another year.
A notice sent to U.S. Congress on Wednesday said President Trump is continuing the "National Emergency with Respect to North Korea",... which was first declared in 2008, and further expanded in scope under various administrations.
The notice said the extension comes as the risks of weapons-usable fissile material in North Korea,... and the actions and policies of the regime such as the pursuit of nuclear and missile programs continue to pose "unusual and extraordinary threat" to the U.S.
