Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has welcomed South Korea's plan to push for a so-called New Deal in the digital sector,... saying it will be an opportunity to develop the country's SMEs and startups.
The presidential office in Seoul said Sunday that Nadella sent a letter to President Moon Jae-in.
In it, Nadella said that the COVID-19 crisis could serve as momentum for South Korea to grow its non-contact industries,... pointing out that they can be expanded to a wide range of areas such as remote learning, telecommunications and medical treatment.
To that end, he highlighted the need for international cooperation in both the private and public sectors.
Nadella also praised President Moon for his strong leadership and consistent response measures in tackling the virus,... saying that he has been able to minimize confusion in the economy.
