Kipchoge Keino Stadium Will Be Ready Before 2021

Athletics Kenya Federations' hopes to stage the trials for the Tokyo 2021 Olympics at the Kipchoge Keino stadium in Eldoret have today received a huge boost. The government has today assured that the facility which has stalled since 2017 will now be completed before next year. With the Olympics pushed to July 2021 because of the covid-19 pandemic, completion of the construction works means that the national trials for the 2021 Olympics will not be shifted to another venue. Closure of the stadium for a face - lift has thrown athletics training in the north region - the home of a majority of the country's runners into a spin, forcing budding athletes to turn to school facilities for their programs.
