President Moon mourns victims of Icheon warehouse fire on Buddha’s birthday

President Moon Jae-in expressed condolences to the victims of the warehouse fire in Icheon.
Via social media, the South Korean leader wrote "when our neighbors are in pain we are also in pain".
Moon added that he feels a sense of responsibility for the unfortunate incident,... with the country focused on overcoming COVID-19.
On this Vesak Day, the president pointed out that Buddhism has brought people together at times of crises,... expressing thanks to those who have donated to people in need.
He hopes that Buddha's " great mercy and compassion" can be of comfort to those in pain.
