Austrian Prime Minister, Sebastian Kurz has said that direct flights between Austria and South Korea can soon restart as Seoul has successfully curbed its COVID-19 outbreak.
The comments came in a phone call between Kurz and South Korean President Moon Jae-in on Tuesday, in which they discussed how to prevent a second wave of infections.
President Moon said it is important to keep the number of newly confirmed patients below a certain number through strict quarantine measures as people go back to their normal lives.
Early last week, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency removed South Korea from its list of areas with a high risk of COVID-19 transmission.
