U.S. thanks S. Korea for shipping 600,000 COVID-19 test kits to country amid outbreak

The United States has thanked South Korea for shipping hundreds of thousands of COVID-19 test kits to the U.S.
The State Department said Tuesday... that it's thankful that the South Korean government had made the purchase possible,... and helping the country in its fight against the pandemic.
On the same day, U.S. Defense Secretary Mark Esper also thanked South Korea.
Some 600-thousand test kits were procured by the U.S. through two South Korean companies,... and an extra 150-thousand from a third South Korean firm.
The test kits were given interim approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration,... and they are due to arrive by Wednesday, local time.
