S. Korean pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin finishes 2nd in NL Cy Young Award voting

Korean pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin finished second in the voting for the National League Cy Young Award.
In the voting results announced by the Baseball Writers Association of America on Wednesday,… Ryu received one first-place vote, ten second-place votes …and eight third-place votes for a total of 88 points.
Jacob deGrom of the New York Mets won the Cy Young award for the second straight season, …getting 29 first-place votes and 207 points in total.
Ryu Hyun-jin, who is currently a free agent, is the first South Korean pitcher to earn a Cy Young vote …and the first Asian to get a first-place vote.
He is scheduled to return to Korea this afternoon.
